I need someone to make dinner

With swim lessons and violin lessons from between 4 and 5:30 each weeknight, we've been crock-potting a lot the last few weeks.  Jennifer, I've been sympathizing with you a lot more than I would like to admit recently as well.  Yes, I guess we are moving again and it is time to have another baby.  Wait....actually it wasn't time at all, but we are having another baby!!  I'm guessing the title of this post is going to get truer and truer, am I right Kathy?

Pulled Pork, corn on the cob, salad, melon
Moroccan Stew (ala Jennifer and Mark)
Fiesta Quinoa with scallops
Beef Braised in Rice wine, fresh bread, salad, sauteed summer squash

Trying to make each meal last a few nights.  And I'm sure there will be a "pizza" night in there!

Have a great week everyone!

When are you due? And when are you guys moving? To Monterey, right?

  2. Hey Ann Marie!! CONGRATS!! :) honestly, I can sympathize with how it feels when Number 4 comes along in God's time instead of, well, other plans. :) Though Luke did not come with a young number 3 and a move involved . . . So you've got a tough road! Hopefully your little angel #4 will be just like ours . . . Laid back, cheerful, and a good sleeper. I mean, you are owed that much, right??!! :) you and Steven have always had the best attitudes about everything (essential in a Navy family!) so I know you'll be just fine. And you always are remembered in our prayers! I am excited for you guys! :)

Thanks for posting! You have inspired my to quit being lazy and get my meal plan up here. I have discovered another AMAZING quinoa salad recipe for this time of year . . . . It's actually very similar to my last one, but MUCH better. Fresh corn and tomatoes, yum. I'll try to get it up here this morning, or soon! (We are trying to build a shed in the last few days before school starts . . . Great plan . . . )

    Love,
    Kathy

  3. Thanks for your posts, ladies! Kathy, you give me courage that this many children can be handled well. It's nice to have you pave the way. Please just make sure you stay in the lead! I would like to drop out of this race now:-). Betty, we are due on what seems to be becoming the Tschanz cousin's favorite birthday...Feb 15th! That gives me faith that Feb babies can be pretty darn cute!

  4. CONGRATULATIONS!

Holy moly! I can barely handle 0.5, much less any number of kids greater than 1!

My appetite is back and I can eat greens. I guess that means I ought to jump back onto the food blogging. I'm inspired! I've been loving skirt steaks and tri tip with salads for some reason... and over easy eggs with avocado, manchego cheese and fresh tomatoes on toast for breakfast.

I'm happy you'll be closer soon. Let us know how we can be helpful. I will forward the Navy childcare website if that will help!
